What’s the Point Spread on Van’s Resignation?

by Little Miss Attila on September 4, 2009

I’m thinking that on Monday he’ll realize he really needs to spend more time with his family, or maybe tweeze his eyebrows for the next couple of years. Or has to re-do the homework that the dog ate.

Spadilio has some naughty fun at Charles Johnson’s expense; Ed wonders if perhaps Jones just didn’t check the “fine print” on the Free Mumia picket signs before waging a protest on behalf of a cop killer.

Eh. I hear that cops are stupid, anyway. At least, that’s what the CIC of the U.S. Armed Forces tells me.

I can’t tell. Had Bush put, say, some Aryan Nations nitwit in the WH, the outcome would be predictable.
Here, not so much: this Administration never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity to play a “reasonably American” hand.

Resigning is a noble, honourable, course of action, taken either in protest or in the aid of one’s cause. He will be thrown under the bus, his proposal withdrawn, to the greater glory of our Lord and Savior and Close-Personal-Friend-and-Golfing-Buddy B H Obama PBUH. (Whose name is as yet unknown to Spellcheck)

Joy, The AP is reporting that Van Jones announced his resignation about half an hour ago — the pool goes to whoever called a little after midnight EDT on Sunday, 9/6, on Labor Day Weekend. Do you think Obama’s hoping no one will notice him being booted out the back door in the dead of night on a holiday? Why, in the morning, Gibbs can wave his hand and say, “Pish tosh! THAT’S old news — next question!”
