More on the Van Jones – Jim Hoft – Glenn Beck – Keith Olbermann Affair

by Little Miss Attila on September 8, 2009

From the comments over at Stacy McCain’s digs:

These guys should be careful who they pick on. The whole thing started when Glenn Beck said he thought Obama was a racist because of some of Obama’s comments and past associations. A non-profit (what else?) called Colors of Change began to organize a boycott of advertisers that sponsor Beck. At this point, every republican on the face of the earth would cower in the corner and beg, beg for forgiveness. Beck didn’t. He hit back. He spent time researching Colors of Change, found Van Jones who had organized the group, followed the trail to the White House and dug in.
I don’t think they really want to get Glenn interested in what they’re doing.

And:

I think Keith has a swell idea, and we should all help him with this project, just as we all helped Linda Douglass with her “send-fishy-stuff-to-flag@whitehouse.gov” Why not fill Keith’s inbox with all the stuff our imaginations can devise for him?

And:

What cracks me up about this is that Glenn has already told the world repeatedly about his past alcohol and drug abuse. He’s talked about his mother’s suicide. He’s talked about what an awful human being he used to be. He’s already laid it all out for everyone to see.

Yup. So has Rush Limbaugh.

I don’t follow Beck much, he is on while I’m sleeping here but even I know about his alcoholism an such. Could that be part of why Olby has backed off asking for dirt or can it be that Olby finally snapped to the minor detail of Beck’s audience being about eleventy times bigger than his own? I’m not the smartest guy in the world but if it comes to Beck’s audience digging up dirt on Olby or Olby’s crowd digging for dirt on Beck, my money is on Beck’s.
