I just assume Andrew put his entire focus of energy and talent on exploring the mysteries of Sarah Palin’s uterus.

Andres Sullivan 2 months ago: “That is part of what we’ve been trying to do here. Since coming to the Atlantic, I’ve had the chance to get the input of interns to bring their generation’s perspective to the Dish. Two of them have gone on to become under-bloggers who, with the active insistence of readers, have helped expand dramatically the number of posts and the variety of subjects. The Dish, I think, is now very different than the one-man blog it started out as.”

The fraud seems to be all on Ace’s part.

When ponce kept claiming to be a “conservative” in earlier threads, I didn’t really believe him.

But now I see he’s an “Andrew Sullivan conservative” – which explains a lot.

Read the post I linked to, then read the lies Ace posted about Andrew Sullivan.

Then pick your side.

Haha, Ace tells a lie about Andrew Sullivan, McCain calls that lie “integrity.”

I think Patterico has a point…

@ponce,
If you were referring to the post I wrote over at ToM, then your “December 15th, 2009 at 9:31 pm” reply takes on a special form of irony.

I don’t know who you are and I have no idea what “ToM” is, smitty.

I’m sure your stuff is very good, though.

I’m talking about Ace’s post linked to in the original post where he says:

“Andrew Sullivan once declared himself in the media the proprietor of ‘the most popular one-man blog on the internet.'”

After Sullivan recently posted on his blog:

“the Dish, I think, is now very different than the one-man blog it started out as.”

I wonder what Patrick thinks about Ace’s post.

@Ponce,
For the answer to the ‘WTF ToM’ question, follow the URL in my “December 15th, 2009 at 8:48 pm post”, 43 minutes ahead of yours, which would seem, at first glance, the basis for your remark.

Not that it amounts to much, mind you. As it stands, you’re mildly funny. If you want to clarify, or not, it matters little.

@ponce.

Pablo thinks you a mobying, but I think you really are as stupid as you come off. Can you resolve our dilema?

I’m not going to get into it about Andrew Sullivan, who has been chasing Sarah Palin as if she were a large white whale–with a uterus–for over a year

The man has a blog that is part of a section The Atlantic labels “voices,” so the implication is there that these weblogs are, indeed, the true voices of their authors. One instance of disclosure does not change that for me, though of course YMMV.

@LMA

Captain Ahab still had to have a crew. So does Inspector Sullivan! Why bother to disclose it, it messes up the by-lines and stuff. The ends justify the means and Sully will have his revenge!

And he has Ponce/Patterico to watch his back to boot!

The fraud seems to be all on Ace’s part.

Not really hip to the meaning of trash talk on the Intartubez, are you? Ace has been on Sully’s case for years, so he takes any opportunity he can to pop off an insult.

That’s how it works. Ace mocks Sully. End of story.

To start talking about “lies” in this context is a bit rich and self-important, given that Ace “lies” all the time on his blog about the cause of death of terrorists and how many hobos he’s killed.

Are you a humorless android who can’t tell the difference between fiction and lying, or are you a pathetic douche who takes selective umbrage at Bloggers You Hate?

Are we back in Junior high school?

It’s fine to tell lies about conservative bloggers we don’t like?

I wonder what Patrick thinks about Ace’s post.

Has Ace established a pattern? Could this possibly be a one-off untruthfulness hatched somewhere in the unconscious recesses of Ace’s mind, such that Ace might have unintentionally spoken an untrue statement? If this is indeed an untrue statement, how long must we call the Ewok a liar?

I’m still having trouble taking this seriously–after all, this is Andrew Sullivan we’re talking about. The guy who came up with a list of “lies” from Sarah Palin’s book that included the charge that when she made that turkey-pardoning video two Thanksgivings ago, she had to know that some of the slaughtering would be in-frame, because after all, she picked the spot where the video would be filmed. (Which, 1] who cares? and 2] what about the cameraman’s responsibility in figuring out the correct angle to shoot it from?)

That’s Sullivan’s level. That’s what he and his “underbloggers” come up with. (Other people have “co-bloggers,” but not Sully.)

Irregardless of that, remember that, to really impact the reader, you want to describe the unconscious mind as “subconscious.”

Besides which, a “liar” isn’t someone who lies. It’s someone who lies a lot, or lies habitually, or likes lying. Or is good at it. Or something.

So does that mean Sullivan is a top man?

Well it works for Patterico.

I struck word “conservative” from your post Ponce because even Sullivan conceeds he is no longer a conservative. Can you write some more apologist posts for other conservatives like Charles Johnson, Doc Weasel, and Glenn Greenwald?

Reply

ponce December 16, 2009 at 9:33 am

There are no real conservatives left in America, Joe.

There are just various camps of social misfits who fling poo at each other.

Sullivan is a long term pervert, abused as a child and determined to pass the abuse along. He’s paying for it with a heinous daily cocktail of drugs and his deranged message shall not go on forever. He’ll be gone and forgotten soon enough. If it pleases him to have other bloggers under him and it pleases those twinks to be under him, so be it. It’s all just another view from his window into his own personal sewer. He likes it there so much he’s even given up the snorkel. Leave him to sink in his own stench.

Amen.
