Who doesn’t have a thing for Dan Riehl?

UPDATE: Oops! h/t: Insty, whose quip inspired my post, of course.

I didn’t blog today, and I’m trying to make up for having burned up all that time on RL concerns. Speaking of Reynolds, how does he even do it? Two days of trying to meet my household obligations, and the blog is all kerflooey.

Yeah: Farmville might have been a factor, but I’m on it because my Church sponsee is, so don’t bug me about that. And, of course, Facebook in general hasn’t been perfectly marvelous for this site, as it’s given me effectively three mini-blogs to look after, but at least I’m not Twittering my life away. I mean . . . I would, but let’s face it: There. Is. A. 140-character. Limit. On. Entries. Therein. No good.

You know all those things that we think we want that aren’t the least bit good for us? It could be that for me a smart phone would be one of them: I mean, my friends try to text-message me, and my excuse for rarely responding is the lack of a QWERTY keyboard. So at least I’m off the hook for that. Give me a Blackberry, a Droid, or an iPhone, and I might be utterly lost.

I still want a Kindle, though. Or, maybe, an iPad. After all—it does have a QWERTY keyboard.

Thanks for the link!

In my opinion, you oughta try Twitter. Your concise, terse, pithyl writing style would be a natural. : )

Pithyl? Geez. Gotta remember to proof BEFORE submitting. Should be pithy, although I kind of like the resonance of pithyl.

In fairness, my AttilaGirl account has 533 followers, and has produced 1324 entries. But I only check it every 24-48 hours (or worse), and I only check my JoyMcCann account every 20 years 😉

“Pithyl” is like “choler”: it’s a humour within the body that produces a similarly-named manifestation. One must have considerable pithyl to be able to write pithily.
