Do You Think You Love Me?
March 14, 2010
Here’s your quiz for the day: Without checking, can you tell me what group did the original that this is a cover of?
If you can do that, and you’re younger than, say, 47 years old, I will be very. Very. Impressed.

Just going by the title… I’d say Partridge Family. Now I click to see if I’m right…
(I’m 32, btw).

Under the title “I Think I Love You” of course. Written by Tony Romeo.
He died in June of 1995 at the age of 55, btw. OTGDY
Other hits written by Tony Romeo include “Oh Boy (The Mood I’m In)” by both Diana Trask and Brotherhood of Man; “Walking in the Sand,” sung by Al Martino, which reached #9 on the Adult Contemporary charts in 1970; “Indian Lake” for The Cowsills; and “I’m Gonna Make You Mine” by Lou Christie. He wrote songs for The Seekers, The Everly Brothers, Richard Harris and David Cassidy among others. He also wrote theme music for movies such as Rain Man (1988) and Gaby: A True Story (1987) and the TV program The Debbie Reynolds Show(1969-1970).

David Cassidy fronting the Partridge Family.
I’m too old to impress you, so remind me to tell you the funny story of Susan Dey’s nude scene sometime…

I’m too old to impress you on this, but I would like to hear about Susan Dey’s nude scene.

I dunno, Charlie, I’d hate to offend LMA’s sensibilities….
