A Smoking Gun on the Gulf Coast Disaster?

by Little Miss Attila on June 8, 2010

There is an awful lot of oil-containment boom sitting in a warehouse in Maine that neither BP nor the government is purchasing. Meanwhile, the Gulf states suffer, and wildlife dies.

You will recall that Governor Jindal of Louisiana has been begging for this stuff for weeks and weeks, to no avail.

What. The. Fuck.

Leadership isn’t about waiting around for a bunch of clueless gits above you to excercise leadership. As Nike’s commercial goes, Just do it.

Call them, Jindal, and make arrangements to get at least some of it. Send your Air National Guard transport aircraft to pick them up. You can at least charge that as a “training mission”.

It’s completely obvious — Obama is doing the EXACT opposite of Bush…

Lousiana governor kept the Katrina federal relief blocked for weeks before allowing them in — now the feds are blockading the states and volunteers from helping contain and cleanup.
