Right. Only I’m no Palin fan. Try again.

Actually, I amend that last comment. I’m a “wait and see, gal” concerning Palin for 2012..the sloganeering I could possibly do without. 😉

Thanks for the linkage, Miss Attila!!!

Poncey, the moratorium on drilling was not a reasoned response. it was an act of neurotic hysterical paralysis, the equivalent of standing in the middle of Grand Centrail Station and screaming “Nobody move!” Likewise his refusal to move only a handful of the domestic recovery resources to the Gulf because something bad might happen somewhere else.

The prolonged banning of foreign recovery ships and the deranged decision that building sand berms “might” affect the salinity of the delta so they had to be blocked was the pettifogging bureacatic ineptitude of a junior college English professor taking off points because his students didn’t use the stipulated margins on their term papers… where it didn’t rise to the level of criminal malfeasance. (The correct response to the unions’ demands that he block the recovery ships is “You’re pulling this now?!” Even George Bush knew that. And the delta is a freaking estuary; its salinity changes all the time, with the seasons, with the weather, with the tides. The flora and fauna are used to that. They’re NOT used to breathing crude oil.)

The fact is, Obama and his Administration made every wrong choice they could make in the Gulf, from taking BP’s money in the first place to mandating deepwater drilling to giving the license to a company with the worst safety record in the business to blowing off BP’s numerous failed inspections to its catastrophic response that only made a disaster worse.

richard,

We’ve known for a long time that the residents along the Gulf don’t care if they screw up the whole planet in their pursuit of a buck.

That doesn’t mean the rest of America should let them.

Ponce, not caring about screwing up the planet in pursuit of their goals is the proven habit of socialists. No matter how high the body count, they never question their notions.

The people around the gulf do care; where they differ from you is that their caring is based in part on the notion that drilling in the gulf will not doom the world, a notion that is more acquainted with the facts than anything I have seen you post.

And Rush said that the amount of oil in the gulf was like…a tenth of an ounce in the bathtub, and lets get the Arabs to pay for this, they sell oil.

Right Poncey, those eeeeeevil damned clammers. Anybody but Barack and the Marky-Marxist marks who voted for him, eh?

Bought your timer-equipped shower head yet? Barry told you to.

Richard McEnroe accurately lays out the anti-environmental nonsense these idiots inflicted on us. Environmentalism was the very last thing I thought the Democrats (almost) had to offer the American people. They just trashed that completely.
