Prof. Reynolds is neither living on a pension nor a resident of California, so I’m having trouble seeing the connection.

I take it you believe that the University of Tennessee, and its law school, is receiving inappropriately large grants from the state of Tennessee, or from the Feds. But it’s all a bit mushy . . .

Oh, evidently ponce is private sector cog, since he/she doesn’t know that working for a university is working for a STATE agency, not federal. And that the state’s pay level is half that of federal (see Jim Hoft). Plus they are subject to the greedy feds yanking higher ed money, just because they can.
