And now he’s going after fishermen.

Via Elizabeth, who points out that turning independent fishermen into government employees sounds vaguely “Soviet,” and threatens to take all the pleasure out of fishing.

Of course he is…that’s why Sarah and Todd palin bought into a similar system in Alaska.

The problem with command control economies is that they are never able to adjust adequately to supply and demand that a free market would, eventually resulting in coercion (i.e. less freedom). That the governments response to the resultant insolvency s to propose another federal bailout and more debt heaped on to the backs of the US public in general is a perfect illustration of the problems that result from the statist notions of Barack Obama and his ilk. It does not matter if it was implemented in Iceland or proposed in Alaska. More government means less freedom is the bottom line.
