The Anchoress has a roundup.

UPDATE: But are they as all-white as MSNBC? Nothing as segregated as far-left newsrooms these days…

It’s funny how the wingnuts can’t understand that Williams was fired for being a racist.

It’s like the can’t even understand the concept.

Lets see how many proponents of hate speech and stereotyping are going to step up and defend Jaun and risk being labeled a bigot and pretend to defend free speech.

So true about the far-left newsrooms. A couple of years ago, the cool kids and I trekked off to the CBC studio to see John Bolton get interviewed. One of our gaggle was an Iranian friend. While standing in line for coffee at the CBC cafeteria, I remarked that the network was so lily-white, we had to bring our own brown guy.

Well! Some worn out old barmaid of a government employee completely lost her mind on me. Told me about all the women that the CBC employed, and all the disabled people who worked in the radio division. To which I replied “Radio? That’s so brave.” She stormed off in a huff.

Progressives understand that the brown folk, unfitted for sophisticated cultures, have to be cared for and shepherded along until they find evaporate from the tide of history. Ask Woodrow Wilson, Margaret Sanger and LBJ…

SO why did they announce they were going after Mara Liasson next, Poncy? Is SHE a racist too?

“Is SHE a racist too?”

It’s too bad for the wingnuts that America has realized Fox News is just a mouthpiece for wacky fringe Right ideology.

Reporters who chose to work there have to understand they lose all their credibility and may lose their jobs in the normal news business.

While regular people are finally seeing what a sad, oxygen-sucking place the Left really is, ponce keeps on spinning. I enjoyed seeing other
trolls of his ilk refusing to attempt to justify NPR’s actions on the other blogs I read, like Althouse. That is a first, as far as I can remember. There is no doubt NPR shot itself in the head. The only question that remains is whether the bullet passed through and lodged in the Left’s head. I suggest that Obama get in front of this and appoint a Thought Czar as soon as possible. Better to be sure where the lines really lay.

So, a black man can be a racist?

Who knew?

There is nothing wackier than enforced uniformity of thought.

Now I think I understand those Lefty protestors who dressed up like clowns and shat on the sidewalk when Bush was in office. They were showing us how wacky we are. ponce was with them, if only in spirit.

“There is nothing wackier than enforced uniformity of thought. ”

Durrel,

I realize the far right thinks it’s perfectly okay to spout racist remarks against Muslims, but normal Americans still see it as straightforward racism.

Ponce, the word “racist” contains the word “race.” Therefore, one cannot be a racist if one’s prejudices or gut reactions are predicated on something other than either race, or some kind of quasi-racial ethnic grouping (such as being Jewish, or “Hispanic”).

Beyond that, would you categorize Jesse Jackson as being a racist for admitting that he doesn’t like strange black males to get too close to him on the street?

“one cannot be a racist if one’s prejudices or gut reactions are predicated on something other than either race”

Haha, a tired, lame attempt to deny a label for the hatred?

Thanks, but we’ll stick with calling the Muslim haters “racists.”

As I said elsewhere, Williams made an honest statement that reflects a natural human reaction. And he even concluded–if you listen to the whole segment–that it is wrong to hold those thoughts given that most people in that group are innocents.

What Williams did is the exact definition of what the Left espouses (critical self-reflection leading to a “rational” ideal.) What we are seeing is the Left in practice– march to our meme of the day in enforced perfect synchronicity–or else!!!

Even the non-brain-dead Left is choking on this one. ponce flatlined long ago–the maggots are even looking elsewhere. Fortunately he owns his clownsuit. Renting was a budget killer.

Durrell,

Being a racist has always been a no-no among decent folks.

But it won’t prevent you from getting a job at Fox.

Darrell October 23, 2010 at 12:30 am

Fox allows for divergent views.
NPR is a one-note monolith.
No one is buying that “racist/bigot” crap you’re selling.
Better ask for a government subsidy while the guys that will give you one are still around.

Now that Soros is buying NPR and calling the piper, I hope the hell he stops paying bottomfeeders like you to troll the high seas. He never got anything for the money.

“Fox allows for divergent views.”

Hahaha,.

You crack me up, Durrel,

You outta try listening to NPR some time, nobody trying to sell you crooked gold coins every 5 minutes, no commercials at all.

They even have the BBC.

“No one is buying that “racist/bigot” crap you’re selling.”

Nobody down in Cornpone, Texas, you mean?

Not too many I see

So Public Broadcasting covers the whole range of Leftist views. Then..“[t]hey even have the BBC.” You are either the most stupid person walking this Earth or the biggest liar. All flavors of Left/All the time.

For all views, even the ones people make up on the fly, go to Fox. Williams concluded originally that it would be wrong to stereotype. Lefty trolls and Mobys can seem to spit that out. That wouldn’t be “racist” and “bigoted” and they’s have to stow the faux outrage and tears.

“For all views, even the ones people make up on the fly, go to Fox.”

The whole range of wingnut thought from Dumb to Dumber?

I’ve been visiting Right-wing “news” outlets for years, never saw anything worth a spit…just bile being shoveled down the throats of lower class white people with chips on their shoulders.

“They” are out to git ya!!!! over and over and over and over.

No, ponce–you were looking into the mirror. Easy mistake, spot-on judgment.

Juan Williams got fired for expressing a fear of a certain type of Muslim. (I think the exact word he used was “worried”.)

For those who went to public school, “phobia” means “fear”, hence, “Islamophobia” is “fear of Islam”.

Williams has expressed the first – and only – true example of “Muslim-fear” I’ve ever heard.

Now then. Since when is “fear” something bad? Since when is it illegal or immoral?

I’m afraid of big dogs that bark and bite. Should I then be censured for “caniphobia”?

Once upon a time, FDR told us that “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. But he didn’t make a law against being afraid, and there weren’t legions of political watchers looking out for people who might be afraid.

Somewhere recently I saw a long list of “people who did X were Muslim”. The list went on for a page or two, and included things like “flew planes into the WTC”, “bombed the USS Cole”, “blew up the Marine barracks”, &c, &c. (The word “beheaded” also appears more than a few times on that list.)

Dear Mr Ponce. Do get a clue. “I realize the far right thinks it’s perfectly okay to spout racist remarks against Muslims…”

ISLAM IS NOT A RACE. Neither are Muslims. There are Caucasian Muslims, Black Muslims, Arab Muslims, Indonesian Muslims, even Chinese Muslims.

It’s a typical sophomoric debating trick to label anyone who disagrees with you a “racist” or a “Nazi”. It’s what they do when they have no case.

On the other hand, “of lower class white people” does seem to me to bear just a hint of racism. Of course, Obama said as much, too, with that snarky “cling to guns and religion” snipe. I guess you and he think alike.
