That’s odd, because Tommy Franks, in his book, accuses Republican dirty tricks man Jim Wilkinson of inventing the Jessica Lynch story.

Whom to trust, a four star general or a blogger…

Obviously the blogger.

Or have you forgotten General “Betray Us”?

Either way, Ponce, the Washington Post got it wrong.

“We wrote a story that turned out to be wrong because [their privately gathered] intelligence information [from informal sources] we were given [they dug up] was wrong. That happens quite often.” Clarification in brackets.

Case closed. Time to move on. Neither Lynch, nor the Pentagon created the story. And in the rush to get something to print in short order, it is a hundred percent certain that you will get details wrong. Too many 23rd-hand accounts.

Even participants in an event sometime get a few details a bit wrong.

Franks’ memoir makes no such claim about Wilkinson, who denies having been WaPo’s source. Wilkinson, who was Franks’ director of strategic communications, says the general “would have killed me” had he been the source for the WaPo erroneous report about Lynch.

ponce–or whatever Lefty scumbag he copy-and-pasted from–a liar?
Who would have believed it!
Democrats don’t have to be singled out as “dirty trick man or woman.”
They all are.
