A plea for backing our own horses in the GOP 2012 race, rather than trying to cripple the other guy’s.
The one exception I’d take to Korbe’s analysis is that I never considered Trump to be serious–or to be a real Republican, for that matter. Trump wouldn’t have been an improvement over the existing President; in that regard, he’s in the same category as Huckabee or Ron Paul. I would have stayed home if any of them had won the GOP nomination.
Other than that, it’s wide open, and you can put forward any name you like (provided, of course, that it starts with a “Tim,” and it ends with a “Pawlenty”).
