John Ziegler vs. USC

Date April 20, 2009

Things are getting interesting.

The main legal issue seems to be whether USC is considered public property, but I’m having trouble wrapping my mind around the notion that any center-left individual would have been treated the way this center-right “citizen journalist” was. My question has to do with whether there is selective enforcement of existing laws.

And there’s something strange about keeping someone off of a public sidewalk—even one that goes through a university.

How would Michael Moore have been treated in the equivalent situation? Since Moore is generally much more confrontational than Ziegler, I think that’s a generous way to frame the question.

One Response to “John Ziegler vs. USC”

  1. John Ziegler said:

This is John Ziegler. Yes, that one. You are dead on here. I can assure you that the actions of the security detail at USC were BOTH illegal and arbitray. I was clearly targeted because of my opinion on this. Michael Moore would not have been treated in this way at all (if only becasue the cops could not have stood his smell).

BTW, USC, is “private” but the campus is very “open” and they accept federal tax dollars.

    Thanks for spreading the truth.
