Pretty in Pink.

by Little Miss Attila on April 28, 2009

I am button-busting proud to announce that as of this week I will be offering Mary Kay products to the blogosphere.

Not that you’ll necessarily see the Mary Kay side of me here, except for occasional special announcements like this one.

But every day I will be trading in my blogging pajamas for a zippy little black suit, shutting down my potty mouth, and spending half a day showing other women how I got turned on to 1) these amazing products, and 2) this terrific company, which is a sort of cross between the Twelve Steps and Entrepreneurship 101.

My father is about to die of shame at the notion that his daughter might be 1) engaged in direct sales; 2) wearing a pink jacket every now and then (even though I will probably opt for gray), and 3) engaged in . . . direct . . . sales.

He has already been struggling with the fact that I rarely read The New York Times—which as we all know is tantamount to walking on all fours, and the mark of a throwback to the earliest humanoid forms—but this latest revelation about me may just kill him.

I agree that reading the New York Times is tantamount to walking on all fours.

Oh, uh, did you mean it that way?

Can’t they just update the IRS Code to allow us to claim our favorite Bloggers as dependents?

Can you ship? I will pay for shipping if I can order online from you. I dont care what anyone say, MK is the best stuff for the price, and I have been using since 1990. If you are able to take online orders and willing to ship, let me know via email and I will go out and order. If not now, when you are getting started, then later when you are up and running. I used to live in Dallas, and MK rules!!

by the way, hope the weekend with Grandma went ok, and that your back is fine!
