Perhaps I should feel lucky that I didn’t get on at Northrop Grumman in Palmdale. Even though the housing prices are great, the taxes and fees are out of hand. My sister-in-law in Oceanside is even worried that with the outcome of the vote, the bureaucrats will find a way to soak more dollars out of the paycheck my brother-in-law brings home.
I am unemployed in the Air Capital of Wichita. I got it on 26 February at Hawker Beechcraft after going back to aircraft last year. There are now about 10,000 laid off aircraft workers here in Kansas.
But there is hope(sorry). Bell Helicopter is holding an event here next week. The jobs are in Fort Worth and Amarillo, TX. No State Income Tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope to end up in Amarillo.
With luck, I will be leaving the state that gave the nation Kathleen Sibelius and head out to definitely greener pastures.

I notice that two of the most seriously f***ed-up states in the Union (Michigan and California), appear to have governments in the full grip of the Democratic Party’s thinking, and have been this way for several years.
