long weekend. Jeez: if the guy’s wife says he’s okay, he’s probably okay. And I don’t think Governors are supposed to be captives to their security details; for crying out loud, Governor Palin sold the Alaska’s plane, commuted to work, and flew commercial.
It ain’t like being President. Not in that way.
Unless we want to extend the prison of a Presidential candidacy to encompass the rest of a potential candidate’s life, or maintain that they must live in a fishbowl for a good decade prior to running for public office.
In which case, we’ll only increase the huge numbers of people who aren’t interested in running for public office.
Ace is also anti-road trip. Why do I suspect that neither he nor AllahPundit are married?

Usually involves sports and booze, maybe strippers and hookers.
