And More on That Irresponsible Sarah Person.

by Little Miss Attila on July 3, 2009

The guys who said her career is over are walkin’ that one back.

Ya think?

* * *

I say she’s either out for good, or playing a long game.

UPDATE: To those among my friends on the left (including my mother) who are throwing parties, I’d like to caution against irrational exuberance, because 1) whom are you going to beat up on now?—and 2) you don’t know what that woman will do without the handcuffs of the governorship and a 2012 campaign on her. Don’t celebrate too hard. (Especially mom: no alcohol, remember? Think of your liver.)

There’s a nice roundup—with luxurious, ample quotage—from Caffeinated Thoughts.

And if Sarah is “playing the long game,” she likely has obtained benefactors. Those benefactors (and we would likely be greatly surprised at some of the names when it’s all said and done) are, arguably, making the biggest political bet in United States history.

Look for Sarah and her family to have a home in the lower 48. Specifically, in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex. That would give a huge clue as to the next steps in the long game.

There is no evidence in Palin’s past that she ever plans to be ‘out of it’. There is, however, much to suggest that she doesn’t plan deeply.

Questions:
1) Boehner is always a good punching bag. Cantor, Rove & Inhofe too. And there’s always Michelle Bachmann to open a can of good ol’ fashioned crazy. Really, there are a whole host of justifiably fantastic targets. Oh, don’t forget Sanford (Wind him up and he punches himself). Don’t worry, there are plenty of others willing to step up: It’s the nature of many who are attracted to political power.

2) Palin is no Phyllis Schlafly. Until she gets a solid education on policy, she will remain a lightweight. This could take quite some time.
