Wait. I’ve Changed My Mind About Sotomayer.

Date July 15, 2009

Ick. Just ick.

A Supreme Court Justice who confuses eminent with imminent? WTF?

Ick.

And that use of “author” rather than “writer” really grinds my gears: I understand that for many the term “author” is what one applies to someone who has written a book (as opposed to “inconsequential” stuff such as articles), but that’s a connotation, not a denotation. “Author” means “someone who has originated,” so it is a good deal less precise than “writer.”

Sometimes when someone refers to another person as an author, I respond, “oh? What has he authed?”

    Way to keep it childish.

Did you get your extra beets and potatoes, Levi? The Party is pleased with your
comments. I’m sure LMA just didn’t want to point out the outright lies of Judge Sotomayer or her poor performance. Something you like to do for Governor Sarah Palin. The Party is pleased with your lack of intellectual honesty. You will go far. Further here than in Europe (for the time being) where everything costs 50%-100% more because of the burden of Sociialism. Strange that, given the nasty “profits” of the capitalistic system. But I’m sure we’ll all be happier when our prices adjust. And we know that some capitalist bastard is not profiting. I still have five seconds, Levi. Plenty of time for you to tell me everything you know.
