. . . on the need to elect “Hottie McAwesome” the next Senator from Massachusetts in January’s special election, even though doing so means they must [politically, in the short-term] oppose a beloved Clinton Democrat, and even though they know it means they’ll be phone-banking for a few weeks. (They hate it; I hate it, too. But sometimes it’s necessary.)
Scroll their main page, and it becomes clear that they see getting one more Senate seat to be a critical means of halting the ill-considered healthcare “reform” bill.
I’d add that there are other budget-busters / job-killers right behind the healthcare bill, and we need that 41st vote in the Senate rather desperately, considering the dire straits the economy is in.

“Dire straits?”
The Dow is up 60+% from its low this year and our economy grew at a 2.2% annual rate last quarter.
What do you call that? –a “jobless recovery”?
Here’s hoping the rest of ponce’s life is that good!
Happy New Decade everyone!
Now, now, we all know unemployment is a lagging statistic in economic recoveries.
The jobs are coming soon.
Let’s hope what’s left of the Republican party doesn’t put all its eggs in the unemployment basket.
ponce, you’re just drunk from that sense of power you get when your mom changes out the tube of KY and box of Kleenex in the basement:It will pass.
We’re sure to see companies chomping at the bit to hire with the higher taxes and energy prices on the horizon. Oh wait. We’re screwed. Here’s predicting the first Democrat to mention a value added tax in the new decade get killed by a taxpayer with a wheel of government cheese.
