Ha! You caught me. Yeah–I’m a Mac girl. But I still believe in holding their feet to the fire.

“Yeah–I’m a Mac girl.”

It’s like I don’t even know you! *sob*

….dear Lord, I started composing an elaborate comparison of Apple:Microsoft as Lib:Repub with the starting point of their software options.

I’m going to go play WoW until the urge subsides.

It’s like an abusive relationship. Seduced by all that flash and good looks. I say I won’t be trashed any more. Those bland denials “No, Apple Care doesn’t cover DAMAGE” Blaming me when the product was a lemon. But I always come back. Hopelessly attached to my Mac stuff. Periodically try to break away, settle down with a nice, sensible, frugal Windows PC or laptop. Only to have that blue screen of death or a kiddie imported virus (to the teen boy “WHAT have you been downloading???” like I have to ask) or a general crash or losing all my data or just such a PITA to try and work on pictures with..and back I run to that narcissistic, coldhearted vain SOB Appelmeister who long ago captured me, heart and wallet.

But I am holding out. I will NOT< NOT NOT get an Ipad….At least until our current cellphone with internet on tiny screens runs out in July. I am trying to rationalize a switch to voice and text only for the spouse, me and snivelling brats and an Ipad for greedy me…

Apple:Microsoft as Lib:Repub

Umm, no. More like: Apple:Microsoft as Stalin:Hitler. Sometimes, they work together, sometimes it is open war. In any case, your data isn’t safe.

….You do realize that is just stupidly offensive, right? Even just saying “Communist:Socialist” might be OK, but pulling mass murderers in for comedic exaggeration is… no.

mau-mau (moumou)
tr.v. mau-maued, mau-mau·ing, mau-maus Informal
To attack or denounce vociferously, especially so as to intimidate: “In years past, [the civil rights leadership] … would mau-mau the government or the corporate sector or the white community” (Joseph Perkins).
[After the Mau Mau, a secret society of Kikuyu terrorists that led a rebellion against the ruling Europeans in Kenya in the 1950s, from Kikuyu mau-mau, sound of the voracious gobbling of a hyena.]

Heaven forbid that someone face– gasp!– an internet reply objecting to their comparison between men who caused the deaths of thousands and computer companies. Whoo, I’m so intimidating! Look out or I’l start quoting Monty Python!

I thought about making it “Mao-Mao” but I didn’t think you could make the stretch.
