There is was an online petition to get some of Dave Buerge’s work in between two covers. My interest in this is that the prosepective tome would include some new material, and therefore The Dave would be incentivized to produce more. More is good.
He’s going to see how many people sign it, and perhaps take it back to the publisher as a demonstration of potential demand—but he emphasizes that no one should sign theh petition unless they absolutely would buy an Iowahawk book.
UPDATE: It turns out there was an “appeal for funds” from the website that was running the petition, and because Dave didn’t know that such a thing was part of their “business model” (he concerned himself mostly with protecting his friends’ and readers’ privacy), he’s furious and has de-linked the petition. While I saw through their fundraising silliness, I’m respecting Dave’s sensibilities and following suit.

Sure, I’ll buy the book, if he hires you to edit.
If only authors had that kind of clout! I’d be swimming in projects. Of course, perhaps someone should start a little boutique publishing company wherein the market demand doesn’t have to be north of 10K in order to make a project worthwhile . . .
