We got a hilarious peek at the “new and improved” Republican party in action today screwing up a simple reading of the Constitution and skipping getting sworn in to service their lobbyist masters.

I have a feeling the House Republicans are going to be as entertaining over the next two years as Christine “I’m not a witch” O’Donnell’s laughable “campaign” for the Delaware Senate.

When that junior college that provides your employment figures out what a lame troll you are, maybe you can open that clown college online.
So the Constitution is like garlic or Holy Water to the Left. Not news but always good to know. That was a hilarious argument about wasting the precious time of the important Dem congresscritters.
Your guys should try open mike at the local “Ha-Ha Hut” just to give themselves employment options when their terms are up. Oh, weren’t the health care and all the other major Bills written entirely by lobbyists? Your fucking disingenuousness can fill Jupiter. Almost. Triple-J, Jesse Jackson, Jr,, can recite the Constitution by heart at the next session. He can even add his father’s “Sometimes it’s not the allegations, it’s the allegators [or alligators] you gotta watch out for.”

Yes, it is painful to remember that the Republicans once stood for something decent, but that still makes them better than the Democrats, who have never stood for anything except gaining power, usually by means of unkept promises to pursue sound policy and kept promises to implement bad policies.

The number one goal of the Republicans this Congressional term (besides their evergreen quest to cut the taxes millionaires have to pay, of course) is to strip health care insurance from 40 million of America’s poorest citizens.

And the fact that they can’t do it unless President Obama and the Democratic Senate approval won’t stop them from grandstanding this quest to impress their stupid, mean-spirited minions.

Complete moral bankruptcy.

Not that I would expect you to have ever bothered to read something as Politically Incorrect as Huckleberry Finn, but there is a passage in there where Huck figures that Nigger Jim is property, and it is probably the sin of theft to help him escape, but if it means eternal damnation for helping him escape, then he will take it gladly, because he figures that there is a higher principle at work. And if God Allmighty sees it different, then he’s not much of a God.

Pretty damn powerful stuff, Ponce. A ne’er-do-well uneducated son of an uneducated ne’er-do-well, despite being taught by everyone what “everyone knows” figures it all out on his own. That Nigger Jim really is a man. And really deserves freedom and dignity equal with his own. Probably more so.

It loses some of its impact when you remove the word.

If wanting to keep that kind of powerful impact is moral bankruptcy… Well, I will keep it, then, over lukewarm blandness of political correctness, that teaches nothing.

I prefer it over your moral cowardice.
