We must bring Cash for Clunkers back. Why, it’s our only hope!
The dealers would make more money, though, if the subsidies were real. Like, from a solvent program that cuts checks in a timely fashion.
I’m sure they’re working on something right now, and they’ll just debit my checking account to get people new cars. But only the deserving: the “working poor,” however that’s being defined this week, plus the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government, and their favorite lobbyists. Strictly by need; after all, times are tough.

Ten days/two months/a year…what’s the difference! I guess it proves that the Medicare delays aren’t atypical. Big dealers can wait for the $3 million they are owed. And the floor-planning interest that accrues every month. I can see why Dems can’t wait to bring their brand of efficiency to the whole health care system in the US. I can give doctors a few tomatoes from my garden while they wait for their payments. They can clean up with my garden hose, if their landlords won’t let
the rent slip for 6 months or so. The school kids can fill us in after their indoctrination session with Barack.
