Given the stakes, I’ll bet that plenty of ’em do. I know I would: the hymen is a very flexible membrane. I kept reading about it when I was a girl, and I kept trying to find it. But there was never anything there.
Let’s not even start on how icky it would be to live in a culture that presumably doesn’t encourage the use of tampons, at least before marriage. Blech.
