(Contra Mark Steyn a few minutes ago on the Rush Limbaugh Show, I do believe the word “tragedy” can be used to describe a multiple-victim homicide without removing culpability from the murderer himself. After all, there were villains in the Shakespearean tragedies. And there were villains at Ft. Hood.)
