He had called; I sent a note because I’m busy being a hermit today.

My baby,

Glad you are alive and well (I think you are–please consider use of
the 1888 invention)

We are on at maybe 5:30p–please come with 2 pies for 9 people
at 4:30.

Wow. I had no idea Twitter had been around since the Victorian era. (I did, however, know that people in U.S. refer to “Victorian America,” which says a lot about the extraordinary reach of a foreign monarch.)
