Actually it was more of a “lesser-of-two-evils” thingie here in Houston. Both candidates were registered and highly active Democrats (Houston has a non-partisan local political structure which for some reason seems to duplicate the structure of the Democratic party). But what the hell, at least the member of the most-hated group lost. Yeah, the guy’s a lawyer.
That’s a damn shame. Maybe someday Mary Cheney will get the politics bug. Right now, however, I’m working on her sister.
