(Yeah; I’m kidding. But do send her a “buck up” note anyway, as her dude is deployed for months on end in a segment of time that includes the freakin’ holidays, and one cannot help but think that it is giving her a teensy dose of the Christmas blues. I can’t even imagine such a thing: The Spouse was once in Southeast Asia for two weeks during the summer, and while I spent my days exulting that I could once more cover his side of the bed with reading material, during the evenings I mostly bit my nails, drunk-dialed my long-suffering friends, and wrote staggeringly bad fiction.
My Marine husband only did four years, after all. Though I kiss those gunshot scars every chance I get.

I actually got beefcake pictures of dishy guys from Chris Muir. What a talent he has. And since it was drawings, I didn’t even feel bad for looking at it!
