“Just Say ‘No’ to Full-Body Scanners”

by Little Miss Attila on January 9, 2010

Indentured Servant Girl is not down with these things, and neither am I. Because 1) I’m not convinced they even would have picked up the undie-bomber’s explosives, and 2) if they would have, making them a standard part of screening simply accelerates AQ’s coming transition to placing explosives in body folds and body cavities.

These things are not, are not, are not X-Rays. And if they popularize rectal and vaginal bombs, you know what the next step is for the flying public–after the TSA spends billions and billions of our dollars on these worthless, invasive machines, they’ll be after us with rubber gloves.

Well, after Obama care goes thru, that’ll be the only way you’ll get gynecological or colonoscopy, you dirty bitter clinger.

How do you KNOW that the full body scanners are not using X-rays? Sure does look X-rayie to me, from the pictures I have seen. Plus, at no time does anyone explain how the image is generated. Not one time have I heard that this machine DOES NOT USE X-rays. So I would opt out on the body scanner and have them just wave the wands at me. They usually have to do it anyway, because of my clothing. I am not ready yet to walk in there naked yet, and give them a jolly for the rest of the day. WE NEED TO PROFILE and stop this madness.

Heltau– From what I’m hearing, they are x-rays. The govt doesn’t care, they are immune from lawsuits, so if the baby in your womb is born with birth defects because of too many x-rays–too bad–it’s too keep us safe–you must comply! As they say in New Yawk, WHAT-EVAH! I’d rather drive/walk/stay home. I absolutely refuse to go a long with this.

Thanks for the link Miss Attila!

The millimeter wave scanner uses ultra high frequency radio frequency energy, not X-rays. Terahertz photons do not impart enough energy to affect chemical bonds or change atoms or molecules. There is some theoretical concern about potential changes to DNA, but that has never been demonstrated in real life testing.

The point is, though, that it is all smoke and mirrors. M-W scanners wouldn’t have caught the “Fruit of the Loon” bomber, most likely, because they are rated poor for plastics, liquids, and powders. Why spend $Billions when it won’t even solve YESTERDAY’S problem.
