Queering the Conservative Movement

by Little Miss Attila on February 23, 2010

Aw, come on: that was a joke, dammit.

As for the substance, it’s about time. Allahpundit:

Obama’s economic agenda is so alarming to conservatives that it’s forced them to reprioritize fiscal responsibility as their organizing principle. Abortion will remain a fault line eternally because it’s a matter of life and death, but the libertarian impulse inside the GOP will continue to make inroads vis-a-vis gays. There’s nothing like aggressive statism to concentrate the mind on what’s most important.

That is it.

I think, and hope, you’re right. I’ve been thinking this myself, and as a conservative with gay loved ones, (who are also conservative), it is my fervent hope that there are millions more like us. America is under assault by progressives, socialists, Marxists, and they will totally destroy the economy, propagandize in schools, and leave the country defenseless against those who literally want to kill us, unless we take the power away from them. We have to put the country first, and I hope that conservatives who still hold on to their prejudices and misguided thinking about gay people will come to realize that.

Seeing that arrogant Sorba booed off the stage was heartening.

How clever of the silly right to make the economy their primary focus just when the economic recovery gets under way.

Now if you can convince religious conservatives that fiscal conservatism will help de-fund the progressives’ war on religion, support for fiscal conservatism will increase.
