I don’t know whether the President is truly pissed, or simply faking it—but it’s hilarious that the head of the Executive Branch is claiming to have no sway over the Department of the Interior. Particularly with respect to a corporation that spent millions on his campaign.
For the record, I do not think that BP is guilty of wrongdoing. But for Obama to jump quickly aside, half-turn, and then exclaim, “oh! Whose responsibility was that?” is transparently self-serving and profoundly unhelpful when it comes to getting the problem fixed.
