Jim Hoft has the story.
Things that should take days are taking months; there just doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency in the White House at all.
The people who market Dawn detergent have rolled out an entire high-end advertising campaign—including television commercials, coupon tie-ins, a funds-matching system, the whole bit—based on helping wildlife to recover in the Gulf during this time. And I’m not criticizing that; I think it’s great that I can buy dish soap and have some of the money go to save some of the slimed creatures from this disaster. But there is something profoundly wrong when the dish-soap people are moving more quickly than the executive branch of the U.S. Government.
Dawn can get its products to the Gulf for product-placement photo ops. But the Feds can’t get boom and skimmers into place to keep the spill from spreading. What is wrong with this picture?

There’s nothing wrong at all with this picture if you assume that the delay on the part of the Feds is intentional. (Fill in your own conspiracy theory as to why in this space)
