File This Under: My Mother and Aunt Were Born 60 Years Too Early.

by Little Miss Attila on June 27, 2010

If I had any neices still left in grade school or junior high, I’d be pushing hard for them to go into science or engineering, and clean up.

But my brother’s kids are males, my half-sister’s kids are males, my older cousin’s kids are males, and my nieces-by-marriage are all grown up (and successful businesswomen on their own). My younger cousin’s infant child is a girl, but since her mommy and daddy are both math teachers she’ll likely navigate the world of numbers like a native.

The world is going to need her by then. Bad.
