Petraeus has been officially confirmed, and there is now some risk that the President will actually win the war. Not a huge one, but a risk nonetheless.

Slim to none chance.
Slim chance. Petraeus will have a transition, moving in to take over from a very different commander. I hope it works out, but the facts so far don’t lead to success.
The President is going to run out of time to lose the war, though, if he doesn’t watch it. Of course, that assumes that we can define what “losing” is.
We won’t win because Obama doesn’t want to win. He simply wants this country to bleed. Bleed treasure, bleed spirit, bleed the lives of our good young men while he golfs and parties and leaves an unrecoverable mess for his successor…
Afghanistan is just a distraction while we cut and run from Iraq.
Once we’re out of Iraq, Afghanistan is done.
