“Japanese Urged To Try Rioting”

by Little Miss Attila on March 19, 2011

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Frustrated by televised scenes of orderly Japanese waiting for water and other supplies, a New Orleans resident has urged the Japanese people to riot. “What are they waiting for?” said Charles Green, 41. “A written invitation?” Green felt that by refraining from looting and attacking fellow citizens the Japanese were missing out on a golden opportunity to shake loose some tension. Green referred to images of police helping Japanese victims instead of ransacking a store and fleeing with lap tops. “Short-sighted,” said Green.

If she was ‘full on Klan’ posting she’d have changed the name to TyRayell Islam Mohammed Jones.

Where are you going with this, Ponce?

Oh, I get it–you equate the culture of New Orleans with black people. Racist.

You’re the one who posted that picture along with the racist screed, LMA.

It’s racist to say that the Japanese are handling the crisis well? It’s racist to say that America’s track record is not so stellar?

I was here during the L.A. riots, and I had to stock up on groceries one day before night fell. And the people next to me were of all colors, because in L.A. most of us were raised correctly. I wish all cities were like that, but it’s no racial issue, and it’s weird to see you make it into one.

How odd considering you’re so attuned to posts offensive to women.

I can only assume this is another “Look how awful I am, James Wolcott” post.

What is “offensive” (or “awful”) about this post? Point to the offense.

Racism is a founding principle of Progressivism.

Godwin’s Law Corollary III …

… first one to raise race not only loses the argument – they reveal themselves.

Bloodaxe March 20, 2011 at 8:26 am

I disagree, mon ami. The word “racist” has become imbued with such power that whoever is labeled as such becomes an instant non-entity, a nobody, a nothing whose credibility rests at absolute zero. And the accuser wins and walks away- there’s no point in arguing with a worthless nobody.

Ha!

Au contraire,

That is only true if dealing with idiots.

Only idiots are so stupid as to casually toss the term into the arena …

… and only idiots believe such a thing without proof.

I have no use for idiots, nor does any thinking person.

As they say where I am from …

fuck them.

Darrell March 19, 2011 at 11:09 pm

So ponce,

Are you saying that the Katrina story was bullshit made up out of whole cloth by the propaganda unit of the Democratic Party–the MSM?
Or are you saying it happened but only the Left can bring it up?
Is it because the Left set the process in motion with its policies over 6 decades?
Just what are you saying?
Maybe you should review your talking points or handbook?

ponce is the perfect “progressive” … hides its own racism under a veneer of faux outrage but shows again it doesn’t expect anything better of America’s melanin-enriched.

Green sounds like the type of American the rest of the world makes fun on. Stupid, uneducated, only out for looting and pillaging other cultures/countries/people.

Also, “racism” implies that there are different human races. Try again. There are none. There is only the homo sapiens. You will find more genetic diversity among a herd of 50 monkeys than among the entire mankind. Thus “racism” either used “racist” or screaming about it, trying to defy it, is utterly unscientific and pretty dumb. Fighting “racism” is like fighting Zeus, neither exist. Call it “anti-colorism” or something, but “racism” doesn’t work.

As for “ethnicity” (which is always brought up), try again, that’s just politically correct Newspeak for “race”.

Diettinger March 23, 2011 at 11:18 am

Don’t oversimplify the terminology. Race, ethnicity and creed all have very different, yet highly intertwined definitions. While species is a separate, scientific label in and of itself.
For starters, “race” is not a catch all for humans. “Homo sapiens” (or human) is correctly understood as the species, “homo” being the genus of bipedal primates in the “Hominidae” family, and “sapiens” (wise or knowing) being the actual species, and the only one in the genus “homo.”
Second, race is better understood as a classification of large, distinct groups based on factors such as appearance and geographic ancestry. Culture and ethnicity may also influence this classification.
Ethnicity is closer to being understood as “nation” as it is based on such factors as language, common ancestry (genetic), a common culture (including religious beliefs), traditions, etc.
Thus, “racism” is not “utterly unscientific” nor “pretty dumb.” It is, at both its worst and best, a clearly defined distinction between two groups of people. At its best, it is based on a number of factors and used purely as a marker to make scientific and sociological distinctions between large population groups. At its worst, it is a set of over-simplified and over-generalized discriminators used for institutionalizing negative attitudes towards an “other” in order to place one’s “own” at an advantage.

Ponce, if I were to say:

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery — then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”

Do you consider that statement racist?

HAHAHAHAHA, now, now, I started it by calling him a ‘putz’ which he is and will forever be unless or until he pulls his head out of his ass …

… but the sort of equipment necessary for that extraction really needs to be on its way to Japan to help with rebuilding.

I haven’t been called that since grade school, so my assessment of ‘ponce’ is spot on – hence the vehemence.

I’m just a bit jealous that you have your very own troll …

If looking admirably at the Japanese culture is now verboten because Democrat dirty socialists get massive butt-hurt because some of their voting base compares unfavorably, and anyone making said comparisons are RAAAAACISTs!, I suppose the New York Times is RAAAAACIST! too…

As I recalled recently on my blog, I covered the 1995 Kobe earthquake that killed more than 6,000 people, and I looked everywhere for an example of people looting merchandise from one of the many shops with shattered windows. I did find a homeowner who was missing two bicycles, but as I did more reporting, it seemed as if they might have been taken for rescue efforts.

Finally, I came across a minimart owner who had seen three young men grab food from his shop and run away. I asked the shop owner if he was surprised that his fellow Japanese would stoop so low.

“No, you misunderstand,” the shop owner told me. “These looters weren’t Japanese. They were foreigners.”

And this ponce creature seems to be a ‘putz’, yes.

Racist?

Green hoped the U.S. government would dispatch self-absorbed, unruly Americans to Japan. “They could teach those Japanese to loosen up a little.” Green thought Charlie Sheen would be a good choice as well as a large portion of the Wisconsin Teacher’s Union.

That sure sounds like white people. Anyone who reads that piece and thinks badly of black people came to that piece with some preconceived notions about black people. If you think that piece is racist, you might be a racist.
