The Wisconsin Supreme Court Battle: Prosser Wins if the Absentees Go His Way. Now, One Assumes, the Recounts Begin.

by Little Miss Attila on April 5, 2011

Big Government:

Update VI: With 97% of the vote in, Prosser is up almost 2,000 votes. No doubt, Big Labor will whine for a recount. But, it isn’t over yet.

Update VII: We are about to call this race for Prosser. Must suck to be a union boss if true. You risked a huge chunk of your members’ paycheck and came up short. They listen to you for what reason?

Update VII: So, Big Labor came up short on election day. Expect them to rally on absentee ballots. With the millions of dollars they have, you can expect some post-election adjustments.

Update VIII: We won, but now the lawyers come in.

Hot Air:

I’ll hang around until all precincts are in, but needless to say, we’re headed for a recount.

Update: Waukesha is now 100 percent in and Prosser has just a 1,600 vote lead overall — with some precincts in Dane, Eau Claire, and Milwaukee, Kloppenburg’s other strongholds, still to report. Hmmm.

Update: At 1:00 a.m. ET, Milwaukee’s mayor is announcing that they’re just now starting to count 8,000 absentee ballots. Prosser’s lead at the moment is just 1,700 votes.

UPDATE: Althouse: “Maybe we won’t know the answer for days.”

As the bumper-stickers say :”If it ain’t close, They can’t cheat”

We all should remember that they vote multiple times, fill-in absentee ballots for the old and impaired…and even find ballots in the trunk days after the election (Franken-MN)…

Florida showed that it’s the side with the most aggressive lawyers not the most votes that usually wins… why else want to count -only- a few precincts vs the whole state in a re-count… Americans have gotten so used to there being no difference between the parties that people quit voting or caring who was eligible to vote…Notice how few voter fraud cases are investigated, prosecuted or penalized… as the 84-year-old in FL said when caught voting multiple times, “What are they going to do? Put me in jail?”… Laws unenforced are laws not respected…

In WI I expect no investigations r charges brought against any fraud or intimidation-after all, the cops have a union and an interest in this as well… when the cops refuse to police the bad guys and even join their side- we are in deep yogurt…

Doesn’t suck so much to be a union boss now, does it? So let me guess, you lost but here is where the lawyers come in?

Love update # 7, under Big Government. “We are about to call this race for Prosser.”

A huge win for Kloppenburg, even though recounts are coming. Considering he had more than a two to one lead on Kloppenburg, I think some pissed off people got involved in this election.

Walker’s “over reach around” to his fellow “Street Preachers on the Information Sidewalk” in atttempting to severely limit or gut collective bargaining was a big mistake.

Okay time to call it again for Prosser.

Now that 100% (without absentee ballots from Milwaukee) of the vote is in and Kloppenburg is ahead by 200 votes, who’s going to be wanting a recount??
That’s right, you conservative weenies.

Now we get the dance of the hihly paid lawyers…. Being a judge, not a politician, won’t Kloppenburg have to recuse herself…afterall…all the million$ that poured in would seem to assure her vote to dump the law…course, another vote would squelch the whole argument.

Nice to see how the unions come out threatening people and businesses. If any Tea Party people did that- the national news would run about pouring hot blood on the sidewalks…but instead there’s silence. when it’s -YOUR- politics then anything gets covered up…when it’s -THOSE GUYS- political views it’s anything gets inflated so far outta proportion it becomes silly…

Me-? I think I’ll start asking for union ID cards and give em a 20% price increase…afterall it’s MY taxes that will pay their glod plated retirement and health benefits…things I will never be able to afford…

Freedom ain’t free…But dang-! why does it mostly come out of the cash drawer…

This independent wants to see who gets how many votes thrown out for illegals, non-residency, multiple voting, voting from the grave, and of course … felons….

Guess we’ll see….
