Building a Personal Food Bank

The freezer seems to be a bit much; I’m not sure where I’d put it.

But there are some great ideas here for guerilla food shopping.

I actually got rid of my stand alone freezer when the last daughter went off to college. There was just no need of all that freezer space like when all four were home and I cooked for an army (there were always kid friends in tow at dinner time)

Vegetables do NOT last forever in the freezer. There’s ample place in the freezer compartment of my side-by-side refrigerator for our needs.

I still make Costco runs (been a member since ’86). Buy meat/poultry in bulk, divide into dinner portions and freeze. Plus all paper products, cleaning and dried goods.

Make sure your food bank is Green!

Was watching “Fringe” last night and caught these Leftie “Green it. Mean it.” Public Service Announcements….on Fox.

Yep, Rupert Murdoch was singing the praises of such Leftie causes as the Locovore movement to America.

Maybe Murdoch thinks Obama will reinstate “public trustee” requirements for getting broadcasting licenses.
In the meantime, the PSAs keep the Leftie actors happy in the Entertainment Division.
Astute viewers will see the Locovore movement as what it is–a way to shut down world trade–to take the money out of the pockets
of third-world farmers so they can starve like the Left intends them to starve. Got to get to that 1.2 billion sustainable world population, you know. Global warming scientists like Charles Manson say time is running out.

Purrel,

When the fringe right has lost Rupert Murdoch, you’ve lost the war.
