Twitter for Beginners

by Little Miss Attila on November 24, 2008

All-American Blogger makes the case for using Twitter, and lists 200 people and organizations that Libertarians and Conservatives should be following. (It should be 201; I’m not listed, though Sean Hackbarth makes the list twice. Twice! I suppose there is some benefit in being schizophrenic . . .)

As far as I’m concerned, email is the “gateway drug.” You start using that, and then one day someone offers you a blog. “What could the harm possibly be?” you ask yourself. Thousands of hours later, you have an account on MySpace or Facebook.

And then it’s Twitter, the crack pipe of the internet.

Try it. After all, it couldn’t possibly do you any harm. By then, you’ve wasted down to 98 pounds and consider “RL” (real life) to be an interference with your online activities.

(I have officially decided that Little Miss Attila style calls for an upper-case “L” in the word “Libertarian,” even for those who have not joined the Libertarian Party and do not expect to do so. I shall think of a way to distinguish the workings of the LP in the future—perhaps they will simply be “the Party,” as the CPUSA was back in the 1920s.)

h/t: Well, Bodhi1—aka, All-American Blogger.

Thanks for linking to the list. What is great is that people who I didn’t put on the list are stopping by and adding their names to the comments, so the list is taking on a mind of its own.

As for your glaring absence from the list, uhh,….hmmm…

I got nothing. Sorry.

🙂
