Black Man with a Gun. Or, Perhaps—Without.

Xrlq on why those who want guns might be buying them now, and it may not have anything to do with our President-elect’s built-in suntan.

Ask Condi Rice how she feels about guns—and why. Or ask Kenneth Blanchard why he likes firearms. Or perhaps you might speak with radio personality, author and filmmaker Larry Elder, who cut Michael Moore a new one regarding the Second Amendment. Or check in with D.C. Thornton on what gun ownership means to him. (Do not, however, ask him how I shot his 12-gauge; its stock was meant for a muscular, tallish man—not a little midget girl. I did not do well, though I’ll be practicing with my 20 over the next few months, and should be able to achieve enough accuracy to take some upland game with it next year.)

Ask any fucking educated black person: gun-control started in the South, as a way to keep “negroes” in their place. So gun ownership isn’t a racial issue. Gun control, however, is. And with all due respect to the President-Elect, so far he’s been on the wrong side of it—if one lends his actions as much weight as his words.

I’m a firm believer in gun control. In fact, I control mine so well that I can shoot the center out of a watermelon at 500 yards.

What kind of glass are you using–and on what rifle?

Makes a difference. Also: how big is that watermelon?
