My Pusher Had Wanted Rather Badly for Me to Switch to Lunesta.

Because its profile was better “for long-term use” than that of Zolpidem or Triazolam.

Come on, Dad: I’m not an idiot. I know about the “placebo effect,” and it doesn’t put me to sleep. Did you have these little blue pills manufactured out of sugar, or is the company itself in on the scam?

So many people regard themselves as “insomniacs,” but the real thing isn’t that hard to come across: it’s the person who doesn’t even botherwith over-the-counter soporifics, because they are a terrible waste of money.

Though that co-pyronil shit was a terrific soporific, and my sister-in-law once gave me something for bad menstrual cramps that knocked me right out; I should get the name of that stuff from her.

Because the best “long-term profile” is to be had by switching over to something different from time to time. Truly, truly.
