As I recall, that became a bit of an issue during the 1930s, as well. And by “a bit of an issue,” I mean “a big, old, destructive nightmare.”

BTW, when an author goes on the Amazon website to recommend companion tomes to her own, and they include viewpoints that are 180 degrees removed from those she presented on a given issue—such as the Great Depression—I find that I want to just . . . lick her boots.

Or something.
