The ones over by Coalinga have faces painted on them!
At least they did when I was at NAS Lemoore in the mid to late eighties. The kids were young and thought they were cool.

You dog: you’ve now messed up the navigation for my next road trip.

I seem to remember hearing about some ones that had been painted with faces that local kids are allowed to get their pictures taken in front of. No idea whether they are currently producing, and if the kids are made to wear hard hats.
