This Friday, please try to be in over 30 cities at the same time; if I can juggle my CPAC schedule to be everywhere at once for three days, this is the least you can do.
I’m happy that there are two events taking place in Texas. Of course, if California is really three states, Texas should count for at least five. (Though Texans tell me the largest divide there has traditionally been the East TX/West TX one, and that is more than cultural or merely geographic: it is regional. When one comes right down to it, East Texas is in the Southeast, and West Texas is in the Southwest. Though even in the panhandle the coffee shops keep hot sauce right there on the tables, which is how one knows one is in a civilized part of the country. In fact, I would like to close down Guantanamo Bay, but only because I’ve heard they serve eggs there without Tabasco.)
One the other hand, there are a handful of states not represented here. A heck of lot, if we use Obama arithmetic; perhaps he was mentally dividing up Cali and Texas, as I do. But this isn’t a bad start. (Northern California: where are you? UPDATE: Sacto is in!)
Of course, Missouri is kicking butt here as well. Pennsylvania, too. And South Carolina! And Missouri! Florida appears to be winning with three . . . But we still have another day. Wait: Three in California now. This thing is snowballing.

Courtesy of the ubiquitous and indispensable Eric Odom—with a few additions from the PJM site—here is the current rundown for Friday, but there will be a lot of ’em on Saturday as well. Note that the Chicago group has really taken a lot of initiative, here.

ashleyingram86@gmail.com[Purists will insist that Santa Monica is not part of Los Angeles. Fine, then: rumor has it that a handful of people will also be at the Federal Building in Westwood, on the South side of Wilshire, with signs, on “protest corner.” That is in Los Angeles, but it appears that the crowd in Santa Monica will be larger. With a little thought one could go to Santa Monica in the morning, and still make it to Westwood for Friday night rush-hour traffic. Instigators include the Bear Flag League (Yay!), and KFI’s John and Ken (Ugh!).]
Also, Glenn Reynolds has a partial round-up that led to a few more additions to my list. Malkin is also trying to keep track, which is nearly impossible at this point.

There is another Tea Party in Dallas tomorrow as well.
Downtown Dallas, 11am. Victory Park. Sponsored by Dallas County Young Republicans.
I’ll be serving tea tomorrow at the State Capital in Atlanta.
There’s a Tea Party today (2/27) in Dallas at American Airlines Center downtown.
Here are the details: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/eve/1050655295.html
Just read an article at the ridiculous Huffington Post blasting the “wingnut” revolution. We are getting under there skin…. love it. I’ll be enjoying some tea with my fellow Seattleites in a few hours!!
We need a virtual, web-based tea party site where those who cannot physically get to a physical site can join a conference, listen to the speakers, collaborate and protest BO simultaneously.
A conference tea party site would be in addition to the tweeter.com and the Second Life avatar sites which are running their own tea parties.
Any update on the Chicago tea party? I couldn’t make it today.
Just sent a note to the organizer of the Pittsburgh Tea Party. Damn, if I had known about it earlier, I would’ve done my best to be there. Found out about the various demonstrations when an organizer from Nashville called the Glenn Beck show this morning. Thank God I now have a chance to bond with other like-minded Americans!
