I remember seeing you speak once in West Hollywood; you’re a stand-up guy.
I suppose this is not the time or the place for my feelings about cancer, or those who die too fucking damned young.
I thought not. Okay. I won’t, then.
Keep Ron and his family in your prayers.

To You Ron Silver and your entire family, My wife Lori and even my [soon to be 21 year old] daughter Pamela, and ofcorse I have always enjoyed your work. You were the consumate actor, and both professionally and personally a true gentleman and a Mensch. I had the pleasure of getting to meet you on a couple of occasions; and, you were kind to everyone around, a fun guy! I am so sorry that cancer took you and, as I have lost loved ones to [among other illnesses], cancer, I am feeling even worse. It is amazing that you were able to play a killer so convincingly, whereas in real life you were a sweet man. I specifically think of your performance in Blue Steel and, how [as I told you], you played Dershowitz better than he could play himelf….brilliant as he is. Your family’s loss is ours too and the world has lost a Good and DECENT man. G-d Bless You and Yours and may you Rest in Peace. More than a few of us will say Kaddish! Sincerely, Bruce, Lori, and Lori Rothman.
