Going To a Tea Party? Or Any Sort of Political Gathering?

Date April 15, 2009

Cynthia Yockey has a list of list of suggestions for how to prepare for any impromptu interviews, and how to conduct them.

My thoughts are simpler: (1) look pleasant, but don’t dress up unless you are engaging in some kind of costuming/street theater. (2) Don’t pretend to know more about the Boston Tea Party—or the American Revolution—than you really know. (3) Don’t cheer speakers or onlookers when they say things you disagree with; that is, don’t act like a mob. And (4) don’t pick your nose until you get to a restroom or go home.

    Joy,

Your advice is spot on — thanks for linking to mine.

I was getting ready to go to my local Tea Party when I realized my dear little kitty’s time had come and I stayed with her instead.

I see people are planning for the next round on July 4. We are going to get really good at this.
