Sinister . . .

by Little Miss Attila on June 1, 2010

Look.

UPDATE, 6/5/10: The originals have been swapped out temporarily, because R.L. Hymers stole them and placed them on his website.

Back by popular demand.

Actually, it might have been this picture that Robert L. Hymers III was scared of:

Who really remembers what pictures are on one’s sidebar from year to year?

As every Sicilian knows there is nothing like a well armed woman. Makes the heart go pitter patter

You look good to me, but I like attractive women and guns.

The first pic gives a better view.

You found it! The last time you ran photos of you with your pistol, it was at my request because I missed the photo of you with Bathsheba after you removed it from your sidebar — the second photo above. But you couldn’t find it and published the first photo above of you and Bathsheba on the balcony, instead!

Girlfriend! This time I am not taking any chances — I am downloading the photos so I have copies of my own!

LMA, I thought we had this discussion. A .357 is not the appropriate choice for shooting rats. Unless…

The Bride: Hattori Hanzo.
Hattori Hanzo: [Serious, switches to Japanese] What do you want with Hattori Hanzo?
The Bride: [Japanese] I need Japanese steel.
Hattori Hanzo: [Japanese] Why do you need Japanese steel?
The Bride: [Japanese] I have vermin to kill.
Hattori Hanzo: [English] You must have big rats if you need Hattori Hanzo’s steel.
The Bride: [English] … Huge.

Darth Aggie,

As I explained to one of the other subjects of the Young Pup’s campaign to silence me, it’s completely out of the question for me to shoot anyone with the last name “Hymers,” because (other than the stuff I warm up with on the range–decent-quality reloads, and sometimes even wadcutters) I tend to buy good ammo. My defensive round for the .357 is Winchester Silvertips; for the Glock, it’s Federal Hydra-Shoks. Both are JHP, of course.

Darrell,

Remember–he attached, to his wild meandering letter, that blog entry in which he went all crazy in the comments section: refusing to admit that the gun-talk was just OT pleasantries, answering politeness with hysteria/rudeness, deciding that mention of the Huguenots constituted a threat in and of itself (and getting all Catholic vs. Protestant about it, which of course they’ve since walked-back, since they’re now trying to make it a conspiracy–and Mr. R. is a deist, while Mr. K attends a church that is either hard-core evangelical or possibly even outright fundamentalist, depending upon where you draw the line). That thread also contains the outright mis-quote from young Hymers, in which he accuses us of talking about “shooting Huguenots,” when of course no one had used those words together at all. Completely made-up.

One of Mr. K’s biggest concerns about Dr. R.L. Hymers is his willingness to go out of his way to lie, and I’m afraid that young Leslie may be following in his father’s footsteps in that regard.

Me? I’m more concerned about the redundancies in that letter to the FBI. There are four people in that household, so whichever one of the Roberts actually wrote it, there were still at least two people who could have re-read it and crossed out the repeated information. They should have.

It was written, of course, more like a sermon than a letter that is intended to be read. Perhaps that was part of the intent, too: I know that last year Dr. Hymers was telling his congregants that there was “an ongoing investigation” of me by the F.B.I., so it could be that the bad writing was intended not to make an impression on the Feds, or on me—but rather the gullible church-goers.

I was alluding to your mother’s rat infestation. But you may need Japanese steel for that…

I asked a friend of mine–who’s held several important jobs in his lifetime–to investigate your concerns. He writes, “After spending several minutes interviewing a variety of people with a witness present and reading the archives of the Blog, including what may or may not have been the day or days in question and conversations relevant or not, I conclude that your charges bear no weight and my friend is without blame, fault, or guilt and always acted in a proper intelligent manner. I therefore want a $Million, too.”

I’ve turned over all the relevant materials that could fit in a 5-Euro mailer to the International Court which is or is not duty bound to investigate any such matters being brought to their attention. YOU’RE IN BIG TROUBLE NOW, MISSY! I’m sure you will be hearing from the Huguenots, Argonauts, and all the assorted “naughts” in Europe any day now, when they get back from their Flotilla adventures bringing chickpeas and Snuggies to the poor folk of Gaza.

“it’s completely out of the question for me to shoot anyone with the last name “Hymers” because.. I tend to buy good ammo.”

Now here, Robert, she is making what is known as a joke. It is to delight her readers and keep us all smiling at the silly notion that you have tried to pitch that you are afraid she is going to seek you out and gun you down. As if?! Yes, a round is a terrible thing to waste.

By the way, that Darrell guy is a crack-up. Gets around, too.

Anyways, good on ya, Joy.

Good girl. I’m impressed with your proper gun handling and trigger finger placement, something you no doubt learned from one of your editors.

Sure, Concho. It was surely one of the really good ones, like Craig Boddington or Jan LIbourel. Or Todd Smith!

(Okay, it was actually my first few firearms instructors, in tandem with my “former Marine” husband.)

You have indeed been blessed to have worked with the great ones.

Have you ever thought of doing a calendar? The Guns of Joy? Girls and Their Guns? You could include Tammy Bruce, Paxton Quigley, and others.

Just a thought…
