Hmm. How about:
(4) GOP cites volcano monitoring as “wasteful spending”?
(5) Which puts the logic of the additional $650 million for the DTV converter box coupon program in question. Not to mention the original $990 million funding. A measly $150 million for volcanoes? That’s not enough to cover a crew of four 24/7/365 at every volcano for a decade to shout “Thar she blows! at the proper moment.
